Sherwin Williams 2025 Color of the year!
Sherwin is shaking things up this year…
For the first time ever, their “Color of the Year” has been expanded into a capsule collection! And we are loving it. They made the decision for the change because this is the 15th anniversary of Sherwin’s Color of the Year.
The capsule is a collection of 9 different colors (never chosen as a COTY before, so no recycled colors) including:
Grounded SW 6089
Sunbleached SW 9585
Chartreuse SW 0073
Rain Cloud SW 9639
Clove SW 9605
Malabar SW 9110
Bosc Pear SW 6390
White Snow SW 9541
Mauve Finery SW 6282
Sue Wadden—Sherwin’s Director of Color Marketing—stated that the colors they chose are “very eclectic and reminiscent of the 1970s, which is making a comeback in home and design, but we added a few modern shades to keep it feeling fresh and fun.” And we concur!
There are some s t u n n i n g shades in this collection, with so many possibilities for your home. Color drenching a master bedroom in ‘Grounded’ would create such a dramatic, yet cozy oasis. You may see ‘Mauve Finery’ and think “girl’s bedroom” (and we agree that would be oh so charming), but we would love to see one of our clients choose this for a living space! It’s giving soothing and calm and vintage vibes. ‘Rain Cloud’ on your kitchen cabinets would be *chef’s kiss*. ‘Chartreuse’ for a front door…like one big warm “welcome home” hug.
We could go on and on. The palette selection is divine—ripe with potential. And we can’t wait to see where you use them in your homes!
