inspiration…for that room with the toilet.

What does Superman call his bathroom?

The SuperBowl!

Naturally, the only way to start out any topic revolving around the restroom…was with a dad joke.

And now that we’ve got our giggles out…

We all know that there’s this magical thing that happens in the home of the porcelain throne…the passing of time becomes something of a blur and, before we know it, we realize it’s been upwards of an hour since the bathroom beckoned us (for whatever reason). Studies show that the average human will spend 1.5 to 2 years—yes YEARS—in this tiny room. If we’re going to spend that much time anywhere, it better be a beautifully designed one!

That being said, we felt it would be a great potty-tunity for our first 2023 blog post to be a collection of a few of our favorite bathroom projects to get your decorative juices flowing if you’re ready for your own loo overhaul.

For this bathroom, we updated the paint color for a simple enhancement to this soothing oasis. Don’t you want to jump in the picture and take a bubble bath?!

Let’s just say it though: the star of the show is the clawfoot tub. We have no problem admitting that.

Really, the best paint jobs are the canvas for the masterpiece (and without that canvas, there is NO masterpiece!)

This was a full renovation with stunning design finishes. The white fixtures contrasting the vivid wall color and rich flooring (and peep that forever favorite: white subway tile in the mirror!) It all came together in a harmonious blend of homey, yet modern, while maintaining that classic (in the best sense of the word) bathroom vibe!

This was another paint change. Because color is >everything<, darling.

The design choices that were already in place were so beautiful. All they needed was a backdrop that was subtle, while enhancing their own softness. We thought the result was just dreamy.

Another complete renovation that we loved every detail of. If you’re looking for a perfect balance of contemporary meets traditional, this is it.

The netural walls with that bold colored vanity and striking tile…it’s just…*chef’s kiss*.

We can’t forget the kiddos bathroom!

This was such a fun paint project. Our clients wanted to brighten up the bathroom for their little ones who had a love for all things in the deep blue sea. They went more Caribbean sea blue than the East Coast ocean hue, which we think was just a fin-tastic decision (#seewhatwedidthere)!

The bathroom may not be the heart of the home, but as (easily) the most visited one, we think that means it should be a tranquil place to retreat. Or at the very least, the best seat in the house.
